Been a long time...

So...lots has happened in the past few months. The stress of things at work led me down a slippery slope of eating badly. Once I'd tasted those 'forbidden foods', it was hard to stop. I still dutifully went to training 3 days per week, but even that wasn't enough to keep me from gaining weight. And, so here I am, 6 mths later, almost back at the weight I started at.

Rather than let it get me down, I've decided to get back on the horse and give it another go! So, I dusted off the treadmill, tied up my sneakers and went for my first treadmill session in AGES!! 32 minutes = 3.5kms. Although I couldn't quite run all of my 8kmph sections, I did manage to run at 10kmph for 2 minutes and I lasted the whole 32 minutes! It will take me a while to get back to my previous levels of cardiovascular fitness, but I did notice that I recovered from my session quite quickly. I think the new Gravitron machines at the Centre are making a difference.

Well, almost back to square 1. I think this time around, I'll focus more on my exercise and a little less on my diet. I want to find a regime that is 'liveable' - easy to follow, healthy and not to restrictive. Wish me luck!
